Our Activities

Park Days

          During the Spring, Summer and Fall, Monday afternoons are days for meeting at the park and playing with friends. 

Open Gym

During the Winter, Mondays are play days!  Park Place in Streamwood www.streamwoodparkdistrict.org/pages/facility_rec_center.htm  hosts "Homeschool Open Gym", and that's the place to meet.  Equipment and the gym are provided for a nominal fee.

Bowling

During the Summer, the second Tuesday afternoon of every month is family bowling.  Everyone from toddlers to adults participates in an afternoon of fun.

Organized Field Trips

Every month, there is at least one organized field trip.  The trips are usually a nominal fee, and have included places such as:

 Annual Activities

Schaumburg HOUSE does a number of annual activites, including:

End of Year Picnic

In June of each year there is a family picnic celebrating the end of the homeschool year, our yearly graduates and the beginning of Summer.  Each year features a fun family activity.

Hayride

There is an annual hayride at the Randall Oaks Petting Zoo every October.  We meet in the evening and have a reserved haywagon pulled through the preserve.  Afterwards, we have a reserved shelter where families bring a dish to share and enjoy a bonfire.
